I think this is a very common question across the industry. In this video what we are going to do is, we are going to list out 3 reasons from the customer side & from agency side about why this problem occurs.
In one of my next QT video I am going to explain how these problems can be addressed?
# 3 Reasons From The Customer Side:
1. Intangible Goals
Customers start their projects saying we want to do SEO or we want do online marketing or want to generate business. These are not actual goals. The goals have to be tangible defined. We are taking up this in subsequent videos.
2. Mapping Investments Vs Results:
Most customers take this as a cost and not as an investment. If customers take this as a investment, then the results can be very well mapped.
3. Want To Get Fast Results:
They lose patients very soon. So the long term approach, long term mindset is missing and therefore swapping providers, from what you have said right, they have tried too many providers but not getting results. So these are the three reasons from the customer side
# 3 Reasons from the SEO Agency Side:
1-Standard Services With One Solution Fits All Approach
From the agency side why these issues occur is because they use standard type of services, means they get into one solution fits all approach, whether it’s e-commerce company or a manufacturing company going online they use the same approach. Standard approach, exactly. It will never work and understanding that business is so important.
2- Not Educating Their Customers
Agencies are not educating their customers enough. Many agencies just send out these reports and updates on a weekly or monthly level, least realizing that customers can’t read that. They don’t know what those reports mean. So the more they interact, customers will be able to understand what is happening and most importantly customers want to feel in control. Only once they understand what is happening they will feel in control.
3- Vague Reporting and Adhoc Analysis
Third one is vague Reporting and Adhoc analysis. I think there has to be a very clear cut strategy defined unifying for reporting & analysis as well. And this is where goal definition & this is where the long vision all that becomes very crucial.
So 3 reasons from both customers side & agency side. Unless these two work in collaboration, you will never see results coming in and then this race of finding new providers and other side finding out new customers just keep happening.
