Google First Mobile Index : Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) For Supercharged Rankings
We’ve already seen how Google’s First Mobile Index is going to impact online businesses in terms of ranking for Responsive and non-responsive websites.
Taking a step further, Google is also looking at mobile experience fast alongside engaging. With effort to make websites responsive, engaging and conversion focused, web masters use graphics, videos, text, images to make content rich. However, all this adds up to kilobytes and megabytes.
Loading of websites from mobile becomes a painful experience for users especially on lower bandwidth networks. They need to keep waiting for sites to load (precious time lost because mobile searches are decision based searches and hence load time is most crucial. A user can easily move away from the site if it doesn’t load quickly).
Welcome to Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), the trimmed versions of regular web pages created to
– help pages load faster on mobile phones
– deliver important or key information to user for decision making as opposed to research
– show up higher on Google search (AMPs are given much higher priority on Google’s Index)
In our upcoming videos, we will show you how to make AMPs for your website and start supercharging your rankings on Google.
