1) Our biggest learning in this exercise was our findings that
“People now prefer to read messages via WhatsApp over email.”
That’s a very important and critical input for our business. e-Mail is generally confined to laptops and office-based scenarios whereas  WhatsApp is a mobile-driven messaging system and in today’s world when people are on the move all the time, communication on the fly is very important.
Therefore this transition was definitely not unexpected. But now once we’ve realized through our campaigns it makes a hell of a lot more important that we really focus on this aspect and start building our messaging which is more of WhatsApp oriented which will really deliver on time and reach the customer’s inbox right away.
2) The second most important observation that we found on WhatsApp was “The messaging was more direct as opposed to email which was more indirect.”
What I mean by direct messaging was the responses were more in terms of decision making or action-oriented. For example: let’s meet or lets discuss on a call or when can we start with this project or when can we connect to discuss this further. Whereas on e-mail it was more of OK send us more information. Can you send me some examples of your work? So these are more indirect.
So with WhatsApp what the observed was people were more eager, more action-oriented when it came to messaging via this medium. Therefore it also helped us in speeding up communication and decisions on projects. Isn’t that powerful?
3) The very fascinating aspect of WhatsApp is it’s ability to immediately notify you that whether your messages have been sent, whether they’ve been received and when that read using those gray and blue checkmarks, right?
Now this is so powerful as a business to understand ,who is reading your messages, who is ignoring them, what times they’re reading those messages this become such an important data as a business to know and categorize the customers on what kind of content has been read when it’s been read, who is reading it. And then you can realign or re-categorize your content to send out specific content to specific groups at specific times so that you can really develop an engagement and again improve on your decision making Get your customers so engage they want to talk to you.
So using this WhatsApp platform we have were able to understand and learn a lot of things.
The learning is always on and you are really learning new fascinating aspects using this program which we will keep on sharing with you in the coming days and months.

3 Insights To Follow While Evaluating SEO Pricing Plans

Are you trying to start SEO program and evaluating different pricing plans from other agencies?
Then in this video, I’m going to give you insights or 3 don’ts that you should follow when you are evaluating SEO pricing plans. Let’s get started.
1) Do not compromise on the goals or the objectives that we have set for the program. Because if you do for the sake of saving cost and money then eventually it’s not going to give you the right inputs and it’s going to leave everyone disappointment.
Therefore without compromising on the goals you need to work how on SEO agreements in such a way that your costs are correctly planned and the goals are eventually staged probably to meet up your long term goals.
So therefore do not compromise is the first mantra.
2) Do not divide overall pricing of the project by the number of months.
For example if someone is bidding you for say one lakh rupees for a year SEO then it comes to on how much 8.5K rupees a month. Do not calculate this way. Most SEO agencies need more money upfront to initiate their programs to be able to deliver on the longer-term goals that we have set for you.
Therefore dividing like this or creating agreements where you are paying monthly should be avoided. I would not say no, but it should be a avoided because it’s not going to help the SEO company really put in right efforts nor is it going to help you to see the kind of results that you want from them. Therefore please avoid dividing it on a monthly basis.
It’s good for budgeting yeah, I’m sure it’s definitely important as a budgeting aspect. But from the value & results aspect of this SEO program. This should be a avoided.
3) Most important one, do not bargain or do not trust SEO agency who I’m just trying to make ways in trying to match your budgetary constraints saying that, ok if this is your budget let’s try and manage it in this one we will try and do it in this one. The sales talk alright?
So if agencies are trying to work this out I think it’s a very important cautionary signal for you to stay away from such agency. If the agency is very clear & knows what it wants to deliver for you in terms of delivering value for you, then agencies will not negotiate, they will definitely towards staging it in such a way that the budgetary constraints and the goals are met over a period of time. But just to make everyone happy just to make sure that the budgets are matched I think getting into that kind of a bargaining mode SEO agencies are really hurting the marketplace. So to complete their sales goals if SEO agencies are getting into these games do not get into that trap don’t fall into that trap. Be very clear of what your goals are and evaluate the agency very carefully before you make that decision.
So these were my 3 don’t for businesses who are looking to negotiate a SEO deal or online marketing deals with third party agencies for their promotion. I’m sure there are more and you may have a lot of questions for us.
One last pasting comment evaluate your SEO agencies carefully, but once you have understood their functionality, once the trust has been built, once you are clear that your vision and their vision for your business is clear then making that beginning is very important. I see a lot of companies getting stuck and I’ve seen so many cases but businesses have said, oh yeah we are ready we understand your vision & are very clear. We know you can deliver for us but we are not in the position to start because of monetary constraints because of budget constraints. So this is where businesses really need to think or probably understand that the right investments at the right time and starting at the right time is going to bring them a lot of value and grow their business fast.

A lot of people ask me this question when I meet them, what is the basic principles of SEO success?
And the reason is that they have either burned cash, trying to experiment or work with agencies or outsourced providers or themselves & not being able to achieve real, long term business benefits using online marketing.
In this video, I’m going to tell you 3 Key Principles to effectively used to make your SEO campaigns successful & work for your online business.

1) Think Long Term:
This is the most fundamental mistake most businesses make. They look at online marketing as a quick fix, a quick result driven, a quick money rich kind of an approach. So that once you put money online you get a major business. But in that kind of an approach you will always see results coming in bursts & actually do really well, sometimes will not do well & then you really analyze it for a period of time, you will find that you actually lost money rather than making it. Therefore having a long term vision is very crucial.
Take the help of experts to really understand how to plan for the long term & make sure there are campaigns 12/24 months. This is very important. Because only then you will be able to see real online growth for your business.

2) Be Adaptive:
Now I may have the longer vision, but if I am not adaptive, I will panic too soon & I’ve seen customers panicking within 3-4 months of the campaign & hey nothing is happening, nothing is working for me. What to do? And I’m losing money.
Well, that’s where the adaptive approach is very crucial. Market place & competition is changing, technology is changing real fast & therefore if you be very rigid in your campaigns the chances of you panicking soon will be high.
As an example, I’ve seen so many customers come to me & say hey Amod I used to get a lot of traffic visitors from Google 3 years ago, but today nothing is happening.
So my counter question to them was OK, what kind of changes you have made to your campaign? They said NO, we do the same things that we did.
So how are new results going to come out? Because Google has moved ahead, their search algorithms, their metrology of evaluating websites has tremendously changed. Your competition is coming, they have adapted, they have made the changes & that’s why they’re doing better than you.
That is why being adaptable is very crucial. You need to be able to adapt to the market, to competition & technology at the same time. A lot of productive this thing is learning is about unlearning as well. You need to be able to unlearn a lot of things & adapt to new things. We will have a separate video on this aspect coming soon. So being adaptive is the way to move ahead.

3) Having The Right Support:
Now in most cases businesses either stop their campaigns on their own for lack of resources or they have the technical expertise to do it or they feel that they can be managed in-house for the right results or they outsourced it to 3rd party agency or freelancer considering that they know the game & the marketing will yield results. However in most cases which has been observed that over a period of time when the evaluation is done the desired or the perceived goals or objectives are not met.
And this is where having the right support is crucial, because in the market what we really see is there are more packaged solutions available around for e.g. you create a social media or Google ranking or generate XYZ traffic kind of packages.
So it’s all getting packaged type, with no overall br& value or business value happening. Therefore you need the right support to think in an integrated manner on how platforms, which media, what strategy is going to work for you. And you as a business have to be a very key part of that discussion. Now once the goals are set you & your supporting team will work on that road map. Keep evaluating from time to time, be adaptive & achieve long term results for your business.

Key aspects to select support team:
a) Integrity is very important & grossly overlooked by businesses very unfortunate
b) Reliability in terms of how they’ve done? What kind of work has happened? What kind of results have been achieved in the market, reputation, etc.

Don’t rush. Underst& whether your vision matches theirs, energies match. Once that happens then you will see the results coming in.

Building an online reputation for your business is a big task and therefore it has to be carefully planned, carefully monitored and worked on consistently.

In this video, I’m going to give 3 ways of how it can be done effectively for the long term.

Let’s take a look.
1) Build Reviews:
It’s very important to build reviews. It’s important to ask for reviews. I think a lot of businesses miss out on this opportunity of asking for it they feel that customers feel they will give reviews. No, ask your customers to give you reviews. Don’t worry about whether they are good or bad. Don’t worry they are positive or negative.
Ask them to give specific reviews. Ask them what they like? what they did not like? Let them ensure that they are putting up their reviews on Google on Facebook, on the various 3rd party review websites, etc.

Now once that is done once you get the review it’s very important that you respond to them. Another issue with most businesses is they don’t respond to reviews, don’t respond to negative reviews at all and then they start finding out ways of how they can clean up the mess. Don’t do that. You must respond to negative reviews. Responding to.them very assertively.

So make sure you get the reviews and you respond to them.

2) Engage With Your Customers.
Just responding will not help. You also need to interact and engage with your customers.
Once you have customers on board and have their details, make sure you have ongoing campaigns for them through emails, WhatsApp, SMS, through your blogs, website, and social media to connect with them. Try understanding and addressed their questions, their queries through videos, posts, text try to engage them. See if they connect with you. I’m sure if you are addressing their questions they will connect with you.

3) To Remain Consistent:
This is where your values are very important. Because sometimes what happens is to address a specific review or negative feedback, we tend to sugar quote or some of the words and compromise on values when responding to it. Whereas similar issue with some days later we may be very forthright and maybe be really sticking to our values when we are responding back. This becomes inconsistent.
Make sure your values are always consistent when responding or interacting with customers. Unless that happens customers will not trust and customers are very very smart. There really and immediately understand that there’s inconsistency and that trust cannot happen.
To remain consistent with your values remain consistent with your views. And you will see customers will slowly start building that trust figure.

1) The Time Budget:
As a business owner, your most important investment in this budget would be your time. Most businesses what they do is they outsource their projects to agencies and contractors saying that you please do it on your own and show us the results without investing their own time into their project. It’s a cardinal mistake. As a business, your involvement in a project in defining the road map is so very crucial and therefore you must be able to devote and dedicate time. when planning for this project. Make no mistake, if you invest your time & budget, you will see a return on investment.
Big time. Please think this over.

2) The Skill Budget:
Make sure you have the right resources or you will hire the right resources for the project. Do not try to cut corners by cutting people who can just manage the show. You want skills to drive your campaigns, to get the results. Who can study who can research and adapt and who can really deliver on your business objectives?
Don’t compromise there. Get the right skills. Budget for that.

3) The Money Budget:
Now when you plan in advance, when you have the right skills, sometimes the costs can escalate. That’s right and therefore it is very important that during planning itself if you have certain numbers in mind you can define a staged approach rather than going all out, you can stage it in such a way that you can put in some money see the returns.
Then invest/reinvest some of that money again and keep on growing.
This can be done, but this has to be carefully thought out when planning for the project.
And this is exactly the point no.1 “Time Investment” is so important.

So as a business if you put in that time you can really work on the resources and the monthly budgets needed when planning for the project. This will not only save time effort cost but most importantly build and grow your ROI big term.

Now, most businesses outsource this activity to their website developer who has been given the complete responsibility of hosting the web site, the emails, etc.

As a customer, you really need to know the configuration of the server, kind of settings up there to protect their website.
Most Websites are on shared servers which means there are multiple sites on the same server. One site gets infected by a virus or a malware chance of getting infected into your site as well is possible. That is why getting that right server is very crucial.

Talk to your website developer today, talk to your hosting partner today and understand the configuration. So choosing that right server is so very crucial.

Get your developers to design a Website with sufficient security checks.
For example:
• Writing very tight security codes,
• Having required https:// codes in place
• Having captcha buttons on your forms.

To ensure that these basic malware issues do tuck up.
Of course, there are rampant and too sophisticated advanced malware programs around which can create a good site. But with these design aspects, you can really at one level make your website safe and secure.

3) The Backend Support:
Now in case all the security measures and checks in place, there is still a malware attack, a virus attack or spam e-mails coming up on your Website.

Then what you need to do is to ensure that you have your back end system in place to address that problem immediately. It can happen, since its real world, there are attacks happening all the time across the globe. So if your website were to go down instead of panicking it would be right to immediately raise a ticket with your hosting partner and get them to clean the malware, to clean malicious code that has been injected on your website.

3 Myths About Google AdWords Paid Marketing

Hello everyone.
In this video, we are going to bust 3 myths associated with Google’s paid advertising platform Google AdWords. Let’s get started.

Myth #1: Most businesses think that Google AdWords is the only way of promoting their business on Google.
Well, it really baffles, confuses at times and angers me about the lack of knowledge of online promotion with businesses. I don’t really blame them because the agencies, the freelancers the SEO that they have hired probably don’t educate them well. I think this education is so very crucial.
Have you heard of Organic Promotion? Have you heard of terms like SEO, SEM?
Basically, these terms are used to organically promote their business. This is so important.
Just by doing paid advertising what you can do is to probably generate leads and traffic for your business in a faster way. But will that really mean ROI for you? It’s for the second point that I will be up later. But paid advertising is not the only way to promote your business on Google.
Look at organic ways; look at ways that are more sustainable, more inexpensive than paid marketing to promote your business on Google.

Myth #2: Once I Start My Google AdWords Campaign I Am Assured Of Business.
Now, this is again a big myth. Unless your campaigns are well planned, well strategized you will be burning money for sure and this coming from my experience dealing with numerous customers who are just pouring money into Google AdWords without getting ROI and then by default method, and the maximum by 5th month, they used to come and complain oh not being able to justify the ROI that we are putting in Google AdWords and what can be done about it.
That’s when this case of what else are you doing and the question what else? What else we need to do. That’s the problem and this is where I feel like an agency, as a freelancer as an SEO working with businesses that are your primary job to educate your customer and customers on their own should also educate themselves. They should ask these questions to the agencies and SEOs. Try to understand organic methods to promote their business in the long term and use paid advertising in small ways for festivals or for a specific season that they want to target. It’s a wonderful tool in these scenarios.

Myth #3: If I don’t do paid advertising Google will never rank my website on their search.
that’s again a very big misunderstanding. Google’s organic search and Google’s paid marketing although they are closely linked, are actually not related at all in a way.
Paid advertising is a way for you to jump the organic search and show up above it so that the chances of getting click increases. That’s the way Google gets paid to get more traffic to your website.
But organic model is something that you need to build along with Google and therefore using tools like Google Console, Google Analytics putting them on a website, tracking your data, putting in right content with meta tags, etc. and keeping on promoting it organically will automatically help your website to go up, because Google has these crawlers/bots constantly crawling the web looking at web sites information and then based on what kind of searches are happening it maps and then ranks the website. This is a completely organic process.
Google is doing it on its own and that’s why the organic listings show up in Google. It has got nothing to do with paid marketing. It’s also a myth that if you are doing paid marketing you get a boost in the organic rankings that myth has been busted a long time ago.

So to summarize organic SEO for a long term paid marketing for the short term.
Use organic SEO for building long term health of your online business and use paid marketing to build muscle as and when you need. Use paid marketing very effectively when particular season’s festivals, or particular geographies or any specific opportunity that comes along the way.

That’s the way that’s a time when you can really utilize that paid marketing because paid marketing is very expensive. Organic SEO is cheaper and you can do it on a sustained basis.
Make no mistake, paid marketing will not ensure new business for you, unless it is very carefully planned and then mapped up at the back with a powerful sales-based system on your business part to address those leads.
So plan your paid marketing well, don’t rely on it 100%.
Look at other options and use organic SEO to build your websites or online businesses to a long term plan.

Therefore, this verification of an address and phone number is extremely crucial and make sure you have your address and phone number very correctly put up and then using the verification process get your business verified immediately.

2) Complete Your Business Profile:
Google has created enough sections for you to fill up as much information about their business as possible. Not just to assist the customer but also help their backend to really map your business to people in the search so that the relevancy is very high.

Isn’t that fantastic? It’s a real indicator for the customer they know what to expect when they walk into your store. So make sure. You have all those more details filled up don’t leave anything blank, put in your working hours, services & make sure you have some keywords in place when you’re putting the description. 3) Connect Visually:
Google My Business has a section where you can add photos of products and services. Make sure you really upload photographs of your store to give the users connect and they know what to expect when they reach your store. Give them an idea of their products and services. Most importantly fill in as much information can as much as possible.

Because you want to map it with search as well because you want Google to really map your services that people are searching for you or searching for products or services.

Another important aspect is when customers come in to make sure they give you a review. Google is geo-targeting reviews. This is another of their filters to ensure correct reviews are given and not bogus ones. This means that when you give a review via a mobile, using their GPS they can really map whether you are actually at the store and not at other place or you are paid to get a review.
So using this geo-mapping they can really establish which reviews are genuine and which are no. Isn’t that fantastic? So make sure you encourage all your visitors/customers to give you feedback when they’re visiting your store.

Contact Is King. Customers are not looking for what you are doing. Customers are looking for what their problems are and whether you can help them. Therefore you must be able to position your content addressing customer problems, their pain points or their requirements.

Don’t talk around we have with this, we have that for your, avoid. These sections will come at the bottom. Start very topically addressing a specific area that you can have with the customer’s problem or requirements. Once you do that, the connect will happen.

Make sure headlines are very powerful again addressing their problem. Addressing issues not that this is the x y z offering that you are giving no.

There are two advantages of being consistent:

Isn’t that powerful, it’s that next step to reach out to the customer isn’t it.

2. If the customer is seeing the emails again & again consistently. He knows you mean business.
He feels you are a serious business. This is the first impression that you are creating without even talking to him. Therefore being consistent will be able to reach and hit out to the prospective customer becomes so important.

3 CONNECT:
Now this C is the final nail in the coffin as I say. Once you start doing the analytics of who is viewing who is opening your e-mails. You must be able to create control groups. You must be able to categorize you or viewers you will be able to create separate lists and hit them.

But unfortunately, businesses overlook this aspect. They just fill up the important points like phone no. address and the rest is just left blank. Wow, that’s a big loss. You are losing so many dollars on the table.
It’s very important that every section/area that Facebook is providing you to give information about your business must be filled. Not just for the user but also for Facebook to map you with that business and show up in search results when people search via Facebook.

Another important aspect would be choosing the right template for business. Did you know that?
